Blog Submission Guidelines
Want to publish a story on the Mercury Insurance blog? Here’s how you do it.
The Mercury Insurance blog provides consumers with insurance information and tips covering auto, home, condo, renters, business and commercial product lines. We’re looking for stories that expand on these topics into automotive, transportation, home, gardening, travel and leisure, entertainment and weather.
To get your story published on the Mercury blog, we only accept the following:
- Exclusive content that will only appear on the Mercury blog. Stories that have been published on other blogs, social media or other digital sites will not be accepted.
- Stories that do not include links to competitors or comparative insurance shopping sites.
- Stories that do not include mentions of other insurance carriers. If you work with or represent a brand, a government agency or a non-profit, this may be acceptable, but our editorial team will make the final decision.
- You agree to give Mercury Insurance exclusive rights to the content.
All stories will be edited for accuracy, length and AP style. Story submissions should be between 500 to 1,000 words, include a headline, a supporting image and a writer bio of 300 words or less. Links to backup quotes and facts are required. Quoted individuals must be real people and must be identified by their full names.
Writers should paste their story into an email, attach an image sized 604 px (width) by 377 px (height) PNG file and send it to email@example.com.
